To complete the registration, we will need a copy of the child Birth Certificate (or other government issued document showing the date of birth) and the immunization card/report if available. If the child is transferring from another school jurisdiction, we will need a Student Records Release form to obtain the Cumulative School File from the former school. If the child is Catholic, a copy of the Baptismal Certificate is also required for our records.

| Expectations of Members of other faiths attending Catholic Schools
|
|
|
|
|
In accordance with section 45 of the Alberta School Act, the Catholic Board:
-
shall ensure that each of the Catholic students residing within their boundaries are provided with an education program;
-
shall enroll other students if requested by their parents, if in the opinion of the Board, there are sufficient resources and facilities to accommodate the student.
Fort McMurray Catholic Schools welcome members of other faith communities in their schools and respect their beliefs. However, this shall not reduce the freedom of Catholic Schools to openly study, practice and celebrate their own Catholic Faith.
Parents of students that are not catholic will be required to meet the Principal of their school at the start of the school year to discuss these expectations.

Foreign Students are welcomed to study in Fort McMurray Catholic Schools. A foreign student tuition fee of $3,450 per semester ($6,900 per year) is in effect as the Provincial Government does not provide any instructional funding for foreign students.
In order to be accepted as a foreign student, the following is required: The sponsor must contact the Principal of the school with a copy of the birth certificate and the latest transcript from the student.
If the Principal is satisfied that the student can succeed in his school and he has sufficient space and resources, he will provide the sponsor a "letter of acceptance". The student must apply for a student visa at the nearest Canadian Embassy or to the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs. The letter of acceptance will be required to made the application. Once the student visa is available, the sponsor can then proceed to register the student at the school. The Foreign Tuition fee can be paid in 10 installments by providing post-dated cheques payable on the first day of the month (starting in September) payable to the "Fort McMurray Catholic Board of Education." For more information on student visa, please contact the Department of Foreign Affairs or visit their web site here. You can also review the following documents published by the Government of Canada:
