Welcome to all of our new students and welcome back to all
of our returning students! A big
welcome back to Ms. Shelby Moser who is returning to St. Gabriel School as Vice
Principal this year J and welcome to Ms. Ashley Chaffey who is a new
teacher in our Junior Transitions Program. I hope everyone
had a fantastic summer holiday. We
are really looking forward to our upcoming school year. There are many wonderful events planned
both for our students and our families.
Please check our website, the newsletter, the front message board and
our outdoor sign for reminders of upcoming events.
The first day back for our students is August 30. A few important reminders to parents:
1. Our
district now has a standard school supply list that is posted on our district
and school web pages. Copies are
also available at most school supply stores. Please Note: some teachers may require additional
special items during the year for special projects.
2. Please
remember that we are a Peanut/Nut Restricted School; make every effort to insure that snack and lunch
items are peanut/nut free. We have
many students with severe nut allergies.
If your child brings an item that contains or may contain nuts; they
will be asked to exchange it for a nut free snack in the office.
3. Our
school will be implementing many Healthy Choices initiatives this year. Our hot lunch program will continue
this year but you will notice only healthy food choices for our students and
our canteen will continue to strive to provide our students with healthy snack
choices to purchase.
4. Because
of safety concerns, our staff parking lot is only for the use of staff. Please
do not park there when picking up your son/daughter.
Our meet the teacher barbeque is Wednesday September 1st
at 6pm. This is your opportunity
to meet the fine staff we have at St. Gabriel School. Please join us in the gym for a hot dog and
icecream. I am looking forward to
seeing everyone again!
